Month of May
these flowers reminds me of my youth....
on a month of May of each year
i would gather "calachuchi" flowers from the backyard
place them in a nice metal wire basket
and bring them to church every 3:00 in the afternoon
of a Sunday for the "Flores de Mayo".
we will have prayers, stories from the Reverend priest...
there were so many children my age
about 7, 8, 9, and 10... and some were older
we were so much filled with innocence
i love the candies and fruit juices they serve
each time we have something to bring home
right after each services we may have rosaries,
booklets, stampitas and mementos to bring home
those were the days....
in my youth
when i was the age of my children
it is a joy to serve the Lord and enjoy it
i would scold the other children
stealing our flowers at the backyard
climbing the brick walls
"it is no use offering to the Lord
something stolen from somebody else
just so you have something to offer Him
He will appreciate the gesture
but never the wrong deed".

Dear Princess,
The greatest sin that a man can commit is to let his fellow humans die of hunger. But a very poor man who steal money or food for his dying children is the most noble act of all the hierarchy of virtues.
Christian values or any religious values for that matter are useless if a man's heart is crushed because his fellow humans are suffering from hunger, homelessness, injustices and extreme destitution.
The flowers will always bloom on the month of May, but humanity in our own society will never find a blooming flower in their hearts.
Teaching the young of what is right & what is wrong is an important virtue.
At an early age of 7 at that time, that is all my mind could think basing from what my elders taught me.
Stealing for people dying of hunger is another thing...
If I will be placed in a situation face with people with so much less even food to eat, i would rather teach them and help them how to source for food rather than just leave them to steal other people's own hard earned money.
Philippines is a rich country of all the Natural Resources. We are not living in a barren land.
